Q -- ORTHOPEDIC SURGEON SERVICES SOL RFP 128-0214 DUE 091296 POC Curtis A. Courtney, Contracting Officer, (606) 253-8885. The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Correctional Institution, Memphis, TN, has a requirement for a Licensed and Board certified Orthopedic Surgeon. The contractor shall provide diagnostic and treatment recommendations of programs in the field of Orthopedics for inmate patients referred by the Medical Staff, as well as other inherent functions. Due to the nature of this contract, individuals working within the institution will be required to submit to Security Clearances. This will be a competitive contract with award being made to the offeror determined to be in the best interest of the Government, price and other factors considered. These other factors are Past Performance and Technical. Services will be required primarily between 7:30 am and 4:00 pm, but not exlusively, with an estimated 8 sessions (1 session = 1 hour) per month, for an estimated 96 sessions per year. The base year of the contract shall run for 12 months from the date of award, with four (4) one year option periods for renewal. It is anticipated solicitation packages will be mailed out approximately August 15, 1996, with an approximate due date of September 12, 1996. It is anticipated this will result in a Firm-Fixed Price, Requirements type contract. All responsible sources may submit an offer which may be conside award. No collect calls will be accepted.
