Supply Center (FISC) Norfolk Det Phildelphia intends to solicit on a
full and open competitive basis for the provision of education services
to teach an undergraduate academic program in Professional Management
Information Systems (PROMIS). The program's goal is to provide training
and development for NAVICP-Mechanicsburg employees in the newer
technologies of MIS. Fourteen (14) courses (3 credits each) are to be
included in the program. Six courses are to be taught during CY 97
beginning Jan 97. All classes will be taught at either the Naval
Inventory Control Point, Mechanicsburg, 5450 Carlisle Pike,
Mechanicsburg, PA 17055, or at the contractor's educational facilities
based upon a mutual agreement between the contractor and the
Government prior to the start of each academic semester. The contract
will contain the base year and two (2) option periods. A firm fixed
contract is contemplated. The Government plans to make a single award
to the eligible, responsible offeror whose total proposal on all items
is the lowest priced. This contract covers the Government's minimum
needs. The solicitation will contain a Statement of Work and an
Attachment describing the courses needed. The applicable Standard
Industrial Classification Number is 8221. All responsible accredited
colleges/universities may submit a proposal which shall be considered
by the Fleet and Industrial Supply Center (FISC) Norfolk Det
