The work includes renovation of passenger elevators 1,2,3, & 4 located in Building 9; elevators 1,2,3, & 4 located in Building 55; elevators 5,6,7, & 8 located in Building 10; and elevators 9,10,11 & 12 located in Building 10. The renovation shall include but is not limited to replacement of present controls along with motor- generator sets with new microprocessor controls using SCR type drive system; governor, governor rope, oil buffers, platform, hoist ropes, hoistway door panels, car enclosure, operating devices and signalling devices. Remainder of equipment will be refurbished such to place it in ''like new'' condition. Support work such as improvement of machine room temperature control, hoistway ventilation, lighting of hoistway and machine room along with convenience outlets, electrical service for elevators and elevator lighting and smoke detection devices is also included within this project as well as associated mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and architectural work. Contractors will be required to submit both technical and price proposals. The following technical criteria will be required: (1) Technical Approach; (2) Relevant Experience/Past Performance; (3) Staffing; and (4) Schedule. The Estimated Cost Range is between $1 million and $5 million. The Standard Industrial Code is 1799. The Small Business Size Standard is $7 million. The proposed contract listed here is unrestricted.
