The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to negotiate with Raytheon Company, Electronic Systems Divison, 430 Boston Post Road, Wayland, MA 01778 for the FY97 AEGIS Spanish Program requirements for AEGIS Weapon System (AWS) Transmitter Group OT-146/SPY-1D and T-1348/SPG Radar (CWI) within the AEGIS Fire Control System (FCS) MK-99 MOD XX, ancillary equipment, components, associated support, data, spares, installation, provisioning and documentation. The total equipment will be procured for the Spanish ships F-101 through F-104. Raytheon is the developer and Original Equipment Manufacturer and is currently the only qualified source for this equipment with the special production facilities, test equipment and the experienced management, engineering and production personnel. The solicitation will seek a written offer with an anticipated award date of March 1997. Delivery is 12 months after date of contract for the OT-146/SPY-1D AWS Transmitter Group and 24 months after date of contract for the T-1348/SPG Radar (CWI) within the AEGIS Control System MK-99 MOD XX.
