Professional Engineering Services to accomplish various projects under the Comprehensive Environmental Response Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA). Activities will include: 1.-Various evaluations, studies, reports and response actions as specified in the National Contingency Plan (40 CFR 300). Ranging from CERCLA site identification to response design, construction contract plans and specifications and/or (post construction requirements). The majority of work will involve abandoned and/or historical mine sites. 2.-Services related to illegal dumps, emergency spills and other hazardous materials containment problems at various sites. May include containment of pollutants, identification of unknowns, site characterization, site clean-up and disposal of wastes and contaminated soils. Work will be at various sites located throughout Region 1 of the Forest Service (Montana, Northern Idaho, North Dakota, and north west portion of South Dakota) on an individual order, as-needed, basis. One year contract period from date of award with option to renew for 2 succeeding years. Cost-range: Not expected to exceed $300,000 per year. Contracts may be awarded to more than 1 firm.
