Z -- LIGHTING RETROFIT PROJECT, PROCESSING AND DISTRIBUTION CENTER, PORTLAND, MAINE SOL 082530-96-A-0159 DUE 082996 POC Carmine Antonellis, Project Manager (617) 654-5944. On or about Wednesday, July 31, 1996, the United States Postal Service, Windsor Facilities Service Office, 6 Griffin Road North, Windsor, CT will issue a solicitation to complete a lighting retrofit project at the Processing and Distribution Center, 125 Forest Avenue, Portland, Maine. Sealed offers are due on Thursday, August 29, 1996 no later than 4:00 p.m. EST. Award will be based upon price and other factors. The estimated cost of the work is between $350,000.00 and $450,000.00. The contract completion time is one hundred twenty (120) calendar days. THERE WILL BE NO PUBLIC OPENING OF THE PROPOSALS AND THE RESULTS OF THE ADVERTISEMENT WILL NOT BE PUBLISHED UNTIL AWARD OF THE PROJECT. There will be a preproposal conference held on Tuesday, August 13, 1996 beginning at 10:00 a.m. in Room 168, 125 Forest Avenue, Portland, ME to discuss the specifics of this project. Attendance is not mandatory but is strongly suggested. Site visits may be arranged by contacting Dan Ryan, Manager of Maintenance a (207) 871-8578 or Robert Olbrias, Maintenance Engineering Specialist at (207) 871-8442. Work includes but is not limited to providing all labor, materials and equipment required to remove existing suspended ceiling system, lighting fixtures and disposal. Contractor shall install new HID lighting fixtures, attach HVAC flexible duct to new light fixtures and install new suspended ceiling system. Work includes all associated electrical work, conduit, conductors, etc. and protection of surrounding areas during construction.
