Perkins, Facilities Contract Specialist, 901/747-7628 The work consists of providing all labor, material, equipment and services to rehabilitate/upgrade eleven (11) passenger elevators at the P&DC, a five (5) story, historically significant building in downtown Philadelphia. A maximum of four (4) elevators may be out of service at any one time. A single elevator must be complete, with a Certificate of Occupancy from a U. S. Postal Service Boiler/Elevator Inspector, prior to beneficial occupancy. Only after receipt of a certificate will the next elevator be permitted to be taken out of service. Offerors must be experienced in the construction/rehabilitation & upgrade of elevators for a minimum of five (5) years and who, in addition, shall have satisfactorily completed at least three (3) projects of similar size and scope. An informal walk-through is scheduled Tuesday, August 13, 1996, at 8 a.m., convening in Room 580 of the Processing & Distribution Center, 2970 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA.
