The Air Force contemplates award of a requirements type contract to repair roofs of Military Family Housing units and specified Base Facilities. The work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, equipment and materials to remove and provide new BUR System consisting of a 30 pound base sheet with three fiberglass felt plys with a mineral cap sheet and remove and provide asphalt strip shingles with associated miscellaneous repairs in various locations on McChord Air Force Base. The magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The contract contemplated is for the base year and three option years. Each years work consists of repairing approximately 10 each asbestos shingle roofs and built up roofs on Military Family Housing units and four to six roofs of varying size on selected base facilities. The Standard Industrial Code is 1761. This solicitation will be issued on or about 02 Aug 1996. This acquisition is unrestricted. All requests for bid sets must be in writing.
