Delivery schedule is 690 days after date of award. This item is
applicable to the CH-47 Aircraft, T-55 Engine. This procurement is
suitable for design control activity in order to maintain the quality
of the part. Existing unique design capability, engineering skills, and
manufacturing knowledge by the qualified source(s) retain data rights,
manufacturing knowledge, or technical data that are not economically
available to the Government, and the data or knowledge is essential to
maintaining the quality of the part. An alternate source must qualify
in accordance with the design control activity's qualification
procedures must be approved by the Government engineering activity. The
current approved source are AlliedSignal Inc. and Sifco Custom
Machining Co. Firms that recognize and can produce the required item
described above are encouraged to identify themselves to the
Contracting Officer identified above and provide the necessary
supporting documentation to the solicitation. The time required for
approval of new suppliers, however, may be such that award and delivery
may or may not be such that award and delivery may not be delayed
pending approval of a new source. All responsible sources may submit a
