35 -- METAL FORMER (BENDER) SOL 1PI-R-0558-96 DUE 090396 POC Contract Specialist, STONEBERGER, LOUISE, 202-508-3945 UNICOR intends to issue a solicitation for purchasing a METAL FORMER (BENDER) for Pedestal File Cabinet Parts, F.O.B. Destination to UNICOR FCI Milan, MI. Type of Contract: Firm-Fixed Price Type Contract. Total Quantity is one each. The tooling will form the final six (bends to the Pedestal Body, the final 'U' form leg bends to each drawer body and the channel form for the pedestal top as specified in drawings. The raw material for the parts is 20 gauge steel for pedestal body and 22 gauge for drawer bodies. The material is to be stretcher leveled with commercial tolerances for size. Tolerances are +/-.015 for formed part size dimensions, +/-1 degree Angulation, and 1.250 to 1.500 X material thickness for minimum inside radius. Tooling cycle will be capable 60 to 70 parts per hour (one operator) for Pedestal Wrappers and 180 to 190 parts per hour (one operator) for the Pedestal Drawer Bodies. Must operate on 110-208 volts. Tooling will be set up on contractor's facility and tested per stated specification. Training will be provided by contractor at their site during the final approval process. Delivery will be four (4) months after award. All deliveries will be F.O.B. Destination to FCI Milan, MI..
