Destn: Mc Clellan Air Force Base Ca 95652-1326. Item 0002 17. This is a market survey (Ref. MS96206-01) under the Competition in Contracting Act, effective 1 April 1985. This is not an Request For Proposal (RFP) or Invitation For Bid (IFB). Solicitation is not available. Be advised that this is used for planning or information gathering purposes only. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this request or otherwise pay for the information which you provide. The following descriptions are offered as a basis in which to formulate a reply to this notice. The Sacramento Air Logistics Center (SM-ALC) is seeking to identify sources of supply that can provide Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR), to replace Model A100-A, NSN: 5835-01-128-7757. The CVR will be used in at least aircraft C-130s, C-141s, C-5A&B, C-17s, and E-3s. The CVRs shall need to be currently certified to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Technical Standard Order (TSO) TSO-C123. The CVR system equipment individual items shall have no larger valued power requirement than that required for the currently fielded COTS product Fairchild Aviation Div. Model A-100A CVR system equipment corresponding item. Do not disturb weapon system equipment power budget considerations. The aircraft AC electrical system is 400 Hz 115 VAC. The Model A100A power constraint is 115 VAC, 400 Hz., 50 W maximum with 20 W maximum normal operation mode. Alternative optional accessory Inverter Power Supply shall be available. This option shall be for aircraft systems that operate on 28 volts DC (VDC). The power supplied form 28 VDC shall supply 21 (Watts) W maximum normal operation power with an inverter conversion to the 115VAC required CVR system operating voltage requirement. The currently fielded Control Unit power requirement is +18 VDC. The CVR system equipment shall not exceed the weight limits specification for the currently fielded Model A- 100A CVR system equipment. The requirement for memory storage media shall be Flash Memory (Solid State Non-Volatile Memory). Additional information are available to further describe the CVR system.
