Such systems shall have all of the followin capabilities: ingest, manipulate, and display text, digita elevation data, remotely sensed raster images, and vector map dat to enrich classroom and laboratory environments for environmenta sciences, geospatial sciences, and geography. Each of the tw configurations' functionalities should include capabilities foun in such software packages as ARC/INFO, Erdas IMAGINE, and ARCVIEW The low-end platform is expected to be used in short, well scripte demonstrations of the technology. The high-end platform i expected to be used in creative and imaginative demonstrations o the technology and in problem solving applications of th technology. The documentation should include an evaluation of th relative high-end and low-end solutions and an evaluation of th utility of available GGI&S and MC&G computer hardware suites i secondary and college curricula, classroom, and laborator environments.
