POC John H. Watts, Purchasing Agent on (202) 219-1158 FERC intends to
negotiate on a noncompetitive basis for Preventive and Remedial
services (including parts/labor /technical support) on the existing
security system with Sensormatic Electronics, Corp. 979 Rollins Ave,.
Rockville, MD 20852 to be performed on-site on the following type of
equipment: C. Curesystem 1 Access Control and will provide technical
support. Services required shall include routine service visits,
emergency services, repair/replace parts to maintain original
specifications, labor, tavel and parts covered. The period of
performance is for October 1, 1996-September 30, 1997. Sensormatic is
the sole area representative authorized to maintain the security
system. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. All
interested concerns must identify their interest in writing and fully
document their capability to meet the agency's requirements by
forwarding a detailed response within thirty calender days of this
notice, and must be able to provide to the Government a Certificate of
Maintainability from OEM at no cost to the Government. All responses
from responsible sources will be fully considered. A determination by
the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon
responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the
Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for
the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive
procurement. Oral requests will not be accepted. If no affirmative
written responses are received within forty five days after this
publication of this synopsis, an order will be placed with Sensormatic
