U -- PRE-SERVICE AND IN-SERVICE TRAINING FOR DOMINICAN REPUBLIC SOL PC-96-04 DUE 091696 POC Sunil Xavier, 202-606-9510 Provide Pre-Service Training for an estimated 75 trainees per year and In-Service Training for about 80 Peace Corps Volunteers per year in the Dominican Republic. Pre-Service Training tracks include technical orientation, language, cross-cultural, and a core curriculum of other learning activities. Pre-Service and In-Service Training will be required for up to five years starting January 1997. Each Pre-Service Training cycle shall be about 12 weeks and include about 35-40 trainees. In addition, In-Service Training shall be in the form of a three-day workshop for about 40 participants. During each year, there shall be two Pre-Service Training cycles and two In-Service Training workshops. RFP PC-96-04 will be available O/A August 16, 1996.
