Z -- MCPHEE/HOUSE CREEK ASPHALT REPAIR SOL R2-09-96-67 DUE 090396 POC Contact Roxann Holman, 970/385-1242, Contracting Officer Joe Milburn 970/385-1245 This project consists of repairing several locations on an asphalt paved forest service road. The repairs consist of approximately 877 square yards of asphalt (hot mix) and approximately 22 cubic yards of -3/4'' base course. The road is a double lane road accessing 2 separate recreation sites. There may be short (15 min.) traffic delays during the repairs but otherwise the roads need to be kept open to traffic. The contractor is responsible to furnish and apply the 3'' depth of asphalt and 8'' of compacted gravel base material, all traffic control devices, and run all controls for quantity and quality tests. The project can be located from Dolores, Colorado, by taking Forest Developement Road (FDR) #526 for approximately 7 miles to the junction of FDR #528. There are 3 repair locations on FDR #528. Road #271 can be accessed by taking State Highway 145 west from Dolores, Colorado, for 2 miles to the junction of State Highway 184, then west on 184 for 4 miles to County Road 25 for .3 miles to its junction with FDR 271. There are approximately 14 repair locations on FDR 271 along with 5 other short camground roads. The government cost estimate is between S25,000 - S100,000. Contract time is 15 calendar days with start of work date 9/23/96. (0213)
