The work includes, but is not limited to: at each sludge drying bed, remove and replace sand and gravel filter media and stone bedding; remove existing vitrified clay underdrain piping and replace with PVC piping; and add a layer of geotextile filter between the sand and gravel layers. Performance shall be completed within 90 calendar days after receipt of notice to proceed. The magnitude of the project is between $25,000 and $100,000. The Standard Industrial Classification Code is 1623. Award is anticipated by September 30, 1996. All responsible business concerns may submit a bid which will be considered. There is a non-refundable fee in the amount of $25.00 for this solicitation. The fee shall be submitted by company check, certified check, or by money order and made payable to the TREASURER OF THE UNITED STATES. CASH will not be accepted.
