The Air Force Development Test Center (AFDTC) intends to solicit competitively under the provisions of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, for cellular glass insulation, mastic, and aluminum jacketing for piping and fittings which meet the following requirements. Insulation shall be fabricated for various pipe and fitting sizes ranging from 3/4'' to 24'' with insulation thickness from 1'' to 6''. Insulation is also required for various vessels ranging in diameter from 3' to 8'. Aluminum jacketing will be required for all straight piping runs while fittings and vessels will be covered by mastic vapor barrier material. All associated materials are necessary for the installation of the supplied insulation including mastic, adhesives, tape, aluminum jacketing, aluminum bands, fiberglass cloth, etc. Installation will be done by the government. A complete materials list will be provided in the solicitation and delivery of materials will be required no later than 30 days after contract award.
