This contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Purchase of Two (2) NC2000E Digital Cameras, Two (2) 24-50mm Zoom Lens for NC2000E, Two (2) 70-210mm Zoom Lens for NC2000E, Two SB-26 Speed Lite Flash and Four (4) Removeable PCMCIA Medium. This is a notice of intent to issue a sole source contract to Image Marking Services, Mendon, NY 14506-9713 for the items cited above. This equipment is compatible with the existing equipment already in use by the unit. Offerors who can furnish the required items, may submit, in writing, a proposal substantiated by technical data, brochures, etc. to include price (FOB Destination). All responses must be received within 15 calendar days of the ate of this CBD notice. No telephone requests will be accepted. Requests for a solicitation will be considered non-responsive. All responses from responsible sources submitting the required information will be fully considered. As a result of analyzing responses to this synopsis of intent, the Contracting Officer may determine that a solicitation will be issued. If a solicitation is issued, no additional synopsis will be published. Any such solicitation will be issued to the intended vendor and all firms that respond to this synopsis of intent or otherwise request a coy of the solicitation. No contract award will be made on the basis of any responses to this notice, as the synopsis of intent shall not be considered a solicitation document. (213)
