This contract action is for maintenance of CISCO computer system for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under Authority of FAR 6.302. Maintenance for CISCO7000 System (P/S&RP) (Model Number CISCO7000); Catalyst 10-Base T 4000 Add (Model Number WS-C1202); Cisco 2500 2E2T (Model Number CISO2514) (9 each); Topasy, CISCO4500-M (Model Number CISCO4500-M) (4 each); CISCO 10001 Lan Extender V.35 (Model Number CISCO1001 (8 each); Catalyst 1700 (Model Number WS-C1700 (3 each); 68040 16MB Router (Model Number AGS+/4 (3 each); A+ Chassis (Model Number MAS-A+) (3 each); Catalyst I 8 Port 10/BT Switch) (Model Number WS-C1201); Catalyst 2800 2K MAC (Model Number WS-C2802) and 7010 Base Unit, RP, SSP, PS 5 Lot (Model Number CISCO7010-SSP. This is a notice of intent to issue a sole source contract to Cisco Systems, San Jose, CA 95134-1706 for the maintenance on the items cited above. Offerors who can furnish the required maintenance for the items for the period 1 October 1996 through 30 September 1997, may submit, in writing, a proposal substantiated by technical data, brochures, etc. to include price (FOB destination). All responses must be received within 15 calendar days of the date of this CBD notice. No telephone requests will be accepted. Requests for a solicitation will be considered non-responsive. All responses from responsible sources submitting the required information will be fully considered. As a result of analyzing responses to this synopsis of intent, the Contracting Officer may determine that a solicitation will be issued. If a solicitation is issued, no additional synopsis will be published. Any such solicitation will be issued to the intended vendor and all firms that respond to this synopsis of intent or otherwise request a copy of the solicitation. No contract award will be made on the basis of any responses to this notice, as the synopsis of intent shall not be considered a solicitation document. (213)
