70 -- SOFTWARE PURCHASE POC Albert Villalpando-512/326-6027 The Department Of Veterans Affairs, Austin Automation Center, Austin, Texas, intends to issue a sole source contract to Alternative Computer Tech., West Chester, OH 45069. This acquisition provides for 3,200 copies of the Software product ''Sweep AV'' manufactured by Sophos of Abingdon, England. This is a site license for Windows NT Alpha which includes: Sweep for Windows NT Alpha, Intel, DOS and Windows 95. This site license includes monthly updates and technical support. No solicitation document is available and requests for such will be considered non-responsive. Responses must be in writing and must be received in this office 15 calendar days from publication of this notice, and must include pricing and documentation in sufficient detail to allow for the evaluation of software services offered. All responses from responsible sources will be considered. As a result of analysing responses to this synopsis of intent, the Contracting Officer may determine that a solicitation will be issued. If a solicitation is issued, no additional synopsis will be published. Any such solicitation will be issued to the intended vendor and all firms that respond to this synopsis of intent.
