DESCRIPTION OF WORK--The work includes construction of an addition to an existing Aircraft Maintenance Hangar. Included is a high bay, steel framed hangar addition with a two-story Training and Administration space, a utility building associated with an existing washrack, and a hazardous material storage building. Work also includes a two story addition to the Aircraft Crash and Rescue Facility. Other work includes associated paving parking areas, sitework, fencing, utility expansion and improvements, fire protections, plumbing, heating, ventilating and air conditioning and electrical work and incidental related work complete and ready for use.--The estimated cost is between $5,000,000 million and $10,000,000 million.--Firm Fixed Price Contract.--Contract duration is 570 calendar days.--Bids will be considered from all responsible sources.--This project is unrestricted.--The Standard Industrial Code is 1542 and the annual size standard is $17 million.--It is recommended the subcontracting plan goals reflect a minimum goal of 5% for Small Disadvantaged Business subcontracting effort.--NOTE: Plans and specs will not be mailed to firms within a 20 mile radius of the issuing office. A fee will be charged for all plans and specs.
