The Naval Air Warfare Center is looking for additional sources who can provide Potentiometers to be installed in the Night Vision Imaging System (NVIS) upgrade to the F-14 aircraft. The minimum requirements for these potentiometers are as follows: Resistance 5000 Ohms +/- 2%; Shaft Diameter 7/16 in.; Shaft Length 5/8 in.; Equipped with DPST switch; Suitable for airborne use with a 9 G shock value. The original manufacturer is Clarostat, Part Number RV4SBYFD502A. All parties that will have the capability of producing potentiometers and can meet the above specified requirements should send the following information: technical brochures and reference material pertaining to your companies manufacturing of potentiometers; amount of time, if any, to re-tool operations to produce the specified potentiometers; once in production, the amount of time to produce and deliver an order of 500 potentiometers; past sales/performance information for both Government and commercial sales; and any additional information that could be useful in determining your companies ability to meet the requirements.
