This facility intends to purchase the following equipment: Groen 40-gallon stainless steel, 2/3 steam jacketed kettle, wall mounted, tilting, direct steam, as per bulletin #5Cd, Model #MW/DT-40, 3 EACH; Groen 60-gallon stainless steel, 2/3 steam jacketed kettle, wall mounted, tilting, direct steam, as per bulletin 5Cd, Model #MW/DT-60, 1 EACH. kettles to include 2'' tangent drawoff, in wall carriers, and #51 counter balanced covers. Bid should include removal of the existing kettles and installation of new kettles, including final utility connections and interconnections of equipment, startup and test. No deviations accepted on kettles; kettles must fit existing AVTEC Utility Distribution system and existing floor sumps. Delivery must be FOB Destination to the loading dock of Building 174, and delivery made between September 30, 1996 and October 30, 1996. Warranty on kettles - 1 year parts & labor; warranty on labor to install - 45 days. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information supplied in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as an IFB. SIC Code is 3499; Size standard is 500 employees. This solicitation document incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-38. Competition is unrestricted.
