Construction services are required for the roof replacement of the above mentioned buildings. The roof replacement will consist of the following: Abandon in place the existing flat rubber roof on each of the four schools in the complex. Install over each existing roof a new sloped roofing system. The new system will consist of a lightweight cold rolled framing system made up of metal tracks laid on the existing roof centered over the existing open web joists; C-channel stud columns set in the track; C-channel rafters and metal purlins spanning from rafter to rafter. The frame is covered with a 16'' wide, 24 gauge standing seam metal roof panel. Aluminum gutters and downspouts are part of this system. The cost range for this project is $5,000,000 to $10,000,000. Duration of the project is 180 calendar days. Plans and Specifications will be available on or about 20 August 1996. Bid opening date is 30 days from plans and specifications available date or 20 September 1996 at 2:OO P.M. This solicitation is UNRESTRICTED and open to all prospective bidders.
