44 -- NATURAL GAS DIRECT FIRED HEATING UNITS SOL DAAC89-96-B-0016. DUE 090596. Contact Paula K. Kramer, 801/833-3146/Contracting Officer. Supply two (2) each direct-fired natural gas air handlers heating units rated 26,000 CFM and 2,500,000 BTU/HR at 5200 feet elevation. The units are to have a variable heat output that can be turned down to 1/10 full fire rate and the capability of bypassing 80% of the air around the burner. An experienced representative of the heater manufacturer shall be present at the initial startup and to provide technical assistance. Heating units are standard commercial items. The following brand name/models or equivalent with added features identified meet the Governments minimum requirements: Rupp model no. CFA-220, Modine model no. MD222 E D60 06K, and Hasting model no. SBD-222-26-2500 with burner for natural gas at 1 psig inlet pressure, modulating temperature control system with modulating room thermostat and remote control panel with summer/off/winter selector switch, filter section with 2'' throwaway filters, outdoor disconnect switch, discharge damper with 2 position motor operator, air intake hood with birdscreen, burner on/off intake air ductstat, foot mounted spring vibration isolators.
