The Government intends to purchase on a sole source basis the following Comstow Information Services Inc. software, maintenenance, support and training. The following items are manufactured by Comstow Information Services Inc: Bibliotech Pro Basic, 32-user to include Progress Enterprises DB Server, Client Networking and Query/Results - Runtime licenses; Cataloging, OPAC, Thesaurus Application Software (BBM-32) (1 each); Progress Report Server (1 each); Progress Report Builder (2-User) (1 each); Circulation Control (BBMC32) (1 each); Periodicals Management (BBMP32) (1 each); Installation and System Tuning (on-site at Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, Dahlgren, Virginia (NSWCDD) (1 each); Maintenance for Progress Report Package (12 months); Maintenance Royality to Progress through 9/30/96 for the Progress runtime license (1 each). Training to include all necessary labor, travel, material for basic 2-day on-site training and shall be done within a month of installing the system (1 each). The training will provide practical, hands-on instruction on the use of all aspects of BiblioTech Pro. Training will provide an opportunity for tailoring the software to the particular needs and problems of the Government at NSWCDD. Maintenance on all of the above items shall include all updates, upgrades, enhancements and telephone support Monday thru Friday except Government holidays and during the hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm EST. This software, maintenance, support and training is an upgrade to the current Government owned BiblioTech software and is to be used with SUN hardware and the UNIX operating system. The Government requires software that will provide full client-server operability and will enable the Government to distribute access to the database throughout NSWCDD to any desktop with Windows, X or Motif with a GUI interface, as well as to any character cell workstation in the same manner as the current ASCII-based BiblioTech. Award is to be made under Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
