Provide all labor, material and equipment necessary to overhaul Appleton KB20-10-50 and Allied TK20-50 WLR ATON cranes. Contractor is to pickup and deliver items to be overhauled at NESU St. Louis in Granite City, IL. Performance period OCT 96 to SEP 97 with four (4) option years. There will be a non-refundable charge required in the form of a certified check or money order in the amount of $100.00 for requested U.S. Coast Guard specification referenced drawings. The proposed contract listed here is a small business set-aside. Plans and specifications will be issued on or after 21 August 1996. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall considered by the United States Coast Guard. For Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT) Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization has programs to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates up to $500,000 per contract to provide accounts receiving financing. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, performance and payment bonds up to $500,000 per contract. DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses.
