L -- CONTRACTOR FIELD SERVICE REPRESENTATIVES (CFSR) FOR THE AH-64A AIRCRAFT, SYSTEMS AND COMPONENTS FOR 1997 & OPTION FOR 1998 SOL DAAJ09-94-G-0009 POC Deborah L. The Government anticipates entering into a sole source contract with McDonnell Douglas Helicopter Systems (MDHS), 5000 East McDowell Road, Mesa, Arizona, 85215-9797. The CFSRs shall provide logistical and technical support for the AH-64A Apache aircraft, at such activities and installations in OCONUS or CONUS areas. This service shall be to transmit the knowledge necessary to update the military and civilian personnel in technical skill capabilities required to operate & maintain the AH-64A Apache aircraft system to the Aviation Intermediate Maintenance (AVIM) level. This includes all associated Test, Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) and ground handling support equipment. This service shall provide on-the-spot advice to the military personnel and the civilian Logistics Assistance Representatives (LARs), to resolve technical problems incident to operating, testing, trouble-shooting and general maintenance practices associated with the equipment. The contractor shall provide a communication link between CFSRs and the manufacturer's engineering support section to immediately resolve technical problems that exceed the capability of the assigned CFSR or the on-site organic maintenance personnel.
