Contact Lt Edwin Rutter, (402) 294-2585 or Lt George Peterson, (402) 294-4962 for information. USSTRATCOM will host the 1996 USSTRATCOM Industry Day Symposium, September 16 - 18, 1996. The symposium will be held in conjunction with the Armed Forces Communications Electronics Association (AFCEA) Exposition, hosted by the Greater Omaha Chapter of AFCEA (AFCEA is a private organization, not affiliated with the US Government). The Industry Day conference held 16 - 18 September 1996, will consist of Government presentations dealing with the future of command, control, communications, computer, and intelligence systems and the impact of moving away from ``stove-piped'' toward open architectures, workstation environment, and ``off-the-shelf'' hardware and software. In addition, the current status of the Computing Environment STRATCOM Architecture (CESAR) proposed contract will be briefed. The forum will allow open exchange of ideas and the focus is to aid industry in understanding future directions and needs of USSTRATCOM. The briefings are unclassified and open to all interested. The government does not intend to award any contracts on the basis of information supplied during this conference, or otherwise pay for any information received from participating firms.
