consists of furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary for
the removal and proper disposal of existing control system and
installation of an electronic Building Automated Control System (BACS)
incorporating Direct Digital Controls (DDC), equipment monitoring and
control consisting of a PC based operator work station (OWS) with
colorgraphic data displays. Providing a primary communication network
to allow data exchange from plant control processor to plant control
processor providing microcomputer based terminal equipment controllers
(TEC s) to interface with actuators, sensors and terminal control
devices. Providing a secondary communication network to interface the
terminal equipment controllers with the plant control processor. The
scope of work shall also include providing all relays, wiring, devices,
contactors, smoke detectors and programming to interface with the
building s existing Simplex fire/security system to indicate an
addressable alarm for the HVAC system. The work shall also include the
removal and disposal of the existing outside air and return air
dampers and pneumatic damper operators and installation of new dampers
with electronic operators. The scope of work shall also include filter
and filter housing replacement and installation of improved filtration
on selected units in the main building, renovations to existing
mechanical control room and cleaning of the interior of the HVAC units.
All work to be completed under one (1) prime contract. On-site contact

scheduled for August 14, 1996 at 1:00p.m. Offerors must be experienced
in mechanical/electrical/automatic temperature control work and
primarily engaged in this line for a minimum of five (5) years, and
who, in addition, must have satisfactorily completed at least three (3)
projects of similar size and scope. The estimated cost range is between
$1,000,000 and $1,400,000 with completion within 180 calendar days
after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Due date for receipt of offers is
September 4, 1996, 4 p.m. Cost of the plans and specifications for this
project is $50 per set, nonrefundable. Be sure to reference the subject
solicitation number on your request. If you desire plans for this
