The work includes repair and removal of asbestos-containing materials (ACM) from the Sycamore Canyon Test Stands, NAS Miramar. The structures involved in this project are: The Administration Building, Building 7, the east stand and west stand of the East Canyon Test Stands, and the West Canyon Test Stand. The types of materials involved are floor tiles and mastics, thermal system insulation, miscellaneous debris, transite piping, and piping gaskets. The project includes providing all materials, labor, equipment, supplies, testing, and certifications to remove, repair and clean-up ACM at the identified sites and incidental related work complete and ready for use.--The estimated cost is $100,000 and $250,000.--Firm Fixed Price Contract.--Contract duration is 60 calendar days.--Bids will be considered from all responsible sources.--This project is unrestricted.--The Standard Industrial Code is 1799 and the annual size standard is $7 million.--It is recommended the subcontracting plan goals reflect a minimum goal of 5% for Small Disadvantaged Business subcontracting effort.--NOTE: Plans and specs will not be mailed to firms within a 20 mile radius of the issuing office. A fee will be charged for all plans and specs.
