Z -- REPLACE STEAM AND CONDENSATE LINES, BUILDINGS 2, 7, 8 AND 9 SOL 542-19-96 DUE 091996 POC John Cox, Contracting Officer, 610-383-0203 Contractor is required to provide all labor, material, equipment and supervision to Replace Steam and Condensate Lines at the VAMC, Coatesville, PA. Work includes replacement of underground steam and condensate piping systems between Buildings 2, 7, 8 and 9 and Manhole Numbers 5, 7 and 16; replacement of steam and condensate piping in Buildings 2, 7, 8 and 9; temporary above ground steam and condensate piping; general construction; alterations; concrete walk repairs; grading; drainage; mechanical work in buildings and manholes and certain other items as indicated in specifications and on drawings. Asbestos abatement is also required and will be subcontracted by the prime contractor. This solicitation is available for full and open competition. The estimated cost range for this project is $250,000 to $500,000. Solicitations will be mailed to prime contractors only, due to a limited supply. Requests from prime contractors must be in writing and may be faxed to the Contracting Officer at 610-383-0235. Award of this contract is subject to availability of funds. Interested prime contractors should, as early as possible, but not later than fifteen (15) calendar days after publication of this notice, indicate interest in bidding as a prime contractor. The performance period is 360 calendar days after receipt of the Notice To Proceed. The solicitation is an Invitation for Bid and will be available no less than 15 days after publication of this notice, but within thirty days thereafter. A copy of the specifications and drawings will be available for inspection between 8:00 and 4:30, at the VA Medical Center, Building 16, Room 311, 1400 Blackhorse Hill Road, Coatesville, PA. A solicitation will also be sent to Dodge Reports, Philadelphia, PA. Any subcontractors requesting a copy of the solicitation will be forwarded a copy of the bidder's mailing list. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code for this project is 1711. The applicable small business size standard, including affiliates, is no more than $7 million average annual gross revenue for the last three fiscal years.
