The contract resulting from this solicitation will include Selective demolition, asbestos abatement, new construction including masonry, carpentry, cabinetry, metal stud/drywall, painting, aluminum store front, roofing, landscaping, paving, retail store fitout including casework, mechanical and electrical. The project is to be performed in a building occupied by the US Postal Service and being operated as a customer service facility. The construction work must be phased to permit continued operation of the facility and protection of employees and the public. The contractor will be required to limit construction activities that conflict with Postal operational during peak mail distribution periods such as the Christmas season (November 1 through December 25). Time to complete is 180 calendar days after date of Notice to Proceed. Offers are due by 4:00 pm on August 22, 1996.
