This directorate intends to issue Invitation for Bid (IFB) F29650-96-B0032 on or about 31 Aug 96 with a bid opening date on or about 30 days thereafter. The proposed procurement listed herein is full and open competition with a Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code of 1711 and a size standard of $7.0M. The magnitude of this Project is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00 with a performance period of 180 calendar days. In general, the work consists of installing a complete underground irrigation system. It shall include the replacement of all lateral water lines, irrigation heads, valves, control wiring, grounding, and voltage stabilizers. Replace approximately 85,000 LF of lateral water lines with proper size to accommodate required water volume and pressure. Replace approximately 740 irrigation heads that can be individually controlled to reduce water usage. Install or replace approximately 300 isolation vales. Replace outdated control system to insure proper water and utility management. Install proper wiring and voltage stabilizers.
