Z -- WASTE FACILITY BUILDING SOL IFB 664-068-96:AG DUE 091296 POC Antoinette Gavin, Administrative Contracting Officer, 619-552-7588 NOTE: This is a revision to an action that was publicized on July 24, 1996 for VA Medical Center - San Diego, CA requirement to build a new waste facility building to sterilize infectious waste. Work includes but is not limited to, demolition involving the removal and/or relocation of a chain link fence, posts, concrete foundation, concrete slab areas and footings; Electrical conduit,underground utilities, irrigation lines, storm drain piping, sewer lines, and cathodic anode protection will also need to be relocated. New construction will include, but is not limited to, the erection of a part masonry and part metal waste facility building; installation of aluminum louvers along with a pair of double doors and a set of roll up doors, plumbing pipes and fixtures, drain lines, steam lines, electrical power, and hose bibs; pouring a concrete foundation, site preparation and grading. Fluorescent light fixtures and fire sprinklers will be required inside the building. An office along with a bathroom will be constructed and will include a toilet, sink, drinking fountain, ceramic/vinyl tile flooring, metal stud & drywall partitions, hollow metal doors and frames and windows. Proper heating and cooling for these areas will also be required. The building will be approximately 2,800 sq-ft. The SIC code for this project is 1541. The estimated range for this project is $250,000 to $500,000. All qualified contractors may request a copy of the solicitation.
