Ponce, Contracting Officer (505) 784-2888 This solicitation is for Install Mid-Field Barriers (BAK-12), Project No. 92-0039 at Cannon AFB, New Mexico. Project includes removing existing sets of BAK-12 Aircraft Arresting Systems presently installed in an expeditionary made and replacing them with systems installed in a permanent installation. The work includes concrete foundations, installation of new fairlead tubes, installation of new Government furnished fairlead beams, and restoration of the ground to its previous condition. The magnitude is between $100,000 and $250,000. Performance time of this contract shall be 90 calendar days. This solicitation is issued unrestricted. Firms should indicate whether they are women-owned, small, or large business concerns. Also firms should state if they are interested as a prime contractor or as a subcontractor. IFB will be issued on or about 21 Aug 96. Bid opening is scheduled for 20 Sep 96. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered. Only written requests will be accepted. (0218)
