RFL 9745 Teleprotection Channel Equipment: Part Number TSH52533OX. The unit shall be capable of emulating all RFL 6745 schemes and act as a replacement for any one terminal/shelf in any such a scheme. The unit shall contain all functions within one three rack unit shelf. Each shelf shall have three FSK audio tone transceivers enabling use on three terminal line protective relaying schemes. Unassigned protective channels may be used as a means to establish communications with the remote channel equipment via the local RS-232 port and IBM compartible laptop PC. Unit shall be configured via RS-232 port connection and IBM compatible PC, software shall be included. Each Unit shall have a built in test panel for end to end testing of the teleprotection channel while isolating the system from the protective relaying. The communications interface shall be able to be configured for audio, digital or fiber optic media. Changing of the communications media shall require only the replacement of one card.
