It is the intent of the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute to purchase shelving for the NIH Library. The shelving is double faced, steel, free standing and bolted to a cement floor. The shelving shall be compatible with existing Spacesaver Storage Systems, Inc's., mobile shelving, matching shelf color, laminated tops and sides. The shelf paint shall be powder coated versus baked enamel. Shelves should be able to convert into mobile shelving in the future, or the mobile shelving should be interchangeable with the stationary shelving. The government requires delivery and installation period of eight weeks after receipt of the purchase order. This requirement is set aside for small businesses under the Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code 2541, Size Standard 500 employees. A copy of the Request for quotation and the required specifications are avaliable upon request. Quotations will be due fifteen (15) calendar days from the publication date of this synopsis. Quotations will be evaluated on comformance to the government's specifications, price, quality, and delivery period. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which if timely received shall be considered by the agency.
