F -- ABSORBENTS DISPOSAL SERVICE CONTRACT SOL DAKF48-96-Q-0488 DUE 082896 POC Contract Specialist Neta Woodward (817) 287-5115 (Site Code DAKF48) The Directorate of Contracting, Fort Hood, Texas, is acquiring a service contract for the Directorate of Public Works for disposal of hazardous and nonhazardous absorbent material generated at Fort Hood, Texas. This is a requirements contract for a twelve month period to commence on or about 1 September 1996. Services will consist of disposal of approximately 540 drums of nonhazardous polypropylene absorbent, approximately 25 drums of hazardous polypropylene absorbent, approximately 600 drums of nonhazardous sweepable absorbent, and approximately 25 drums of hazardous sweepable absorbent. Services involve the pickup, transporting to authorized storage facility or a proper disposal facility of eligible materials on a bi-weekly basis. This is a 100% small business set aside. The standard industrial classification code for this acquisition is 8999; the business size standard is $5.0 million. This service will be accomplished by way of verbal coordination between the Contracting Officer (or authorized representative) and the contractor, with a delivery order being issued for each service requirement. Requests for solicitation bid packages must be made in writing and the request must include, as a minimum: the company name, address, telephone number, facsimile number, solicitation number, and name of person requesting the bid package.
