The U.S. Army Medical Command, Central Contracting Office has a
requirement for nonpersonal Occupational Health (OH) Services in
support of the Federal Occupational Health (FOH) Program. The FOH
program is a part of the US Department of Health and Human Services
which provides OH services and consultation, and stimulates the
development of improved OH and safety programs throughout the Federal
Government. The FOH program assists Federal managers to establish OH
care services for federal employees, comply with mandated and voluntary
OH standards, monitor environmental hazards for special classes of
employees, counsel employees at physical or emotional risk from
alcoholism, drug abuse, stress, or other job-related factors, maintain
a drug-free workplace, and promote overall federal employee health and
physical fitness. Services are required at the FOH Centers and FOH
Wellness/Fitness Centers throughout Washington, D.C., Maryland and
Virginia. Occupational Health Providers (OHP) required for the FOH
Centers include OH Nurse Coordinators, OH Nurse Associates, Physicians,
Physician Assistants, Adult Registered Nurse Practitioners and Medical
Administrative Support personnel. OH Providers required for the FOH
Wellness/Fitness Centers include Wellness/Fitness Coordinators,
Wellness/Fitness Associates, Exercise Leaders, Exercise Physiologist,
Medical Administrative Support personnel, and Registered Dieticians.
The tentative issue date of Solicitation Number DADA10-96-R-0104 is 26
Aug 96 and the tentative closing date is 27 Sep 96. The contract
period of performance is estimated to be for a base period of 1 Jun 97
through 30 Sep 97 with three 1-year options. An indefinite quantity
contract is anticipated as a result of this solicitation. This
requirement is being synopsized as full and open competition. Requests
