U -- EDUCATION AND TRAINING SERVICE FOR CONTINUING EDUCATION OF CRITICAL CARE NURSING STAFF SOL RFP 618-19-97 DUE 091596 POC Linda Kelly, Contracting Officer (612) 725-2183 Under the Statutory Authority of 38 USC 8154 the Government anticipates entering into a sole source negotiation with Twin Cities Health Professionals Education Consortium (TCHP) for continuing education and training of critical care nursing, psychiatry, and operating room staff. TCHP is a consortium of the Twin Cities three public teaching hospitals (including the Minneapolis VA Medical Center) who are affiliated with the University of Minnesota Medical School. TCHP facilitates a wide range of activities among the three hospitals and develops consolidated programs to avoid duplication of efforts and enhance efficiency in health care services, education, and research. The Government's minimum needs can best be satisfied by services available from one source. (See Note 22.) It is anticipated that this will be a three year contract. (0219)
