project consists of new construction of a 20,000 square foot postal
facility known as Pleasant Grove Station, Dallas, Texas, which will
include steel frame with brick veneer. There is typical mechanical,
electrical and plumbing work along with interior finishes, millwork and
graphics. The site work will include, but not necessarily be limited
to: grading, concrete paving, utilities, subsurface drainage,
landscaping and irrigation. The site is on South Buckner Boulevard and
Kipling Drive in Dallas. Estimated cost range $1,900,000 - $2,200,000
and construction time is 270 calendar days. Successful offeror must
submit their Subcontracting Plan for Small and Minority-Owned, and
Woman-Owned Business initially and thereafter with their progress
payment requests. The contractor must subcontract with minority
business firms in an amount aggregating not less than 10% of the total
value of its subcontracts. A 20% proposal bond is required on all
proposals. The successful contractor will be required to provide 100%
Performance and 50% Payment Bonds within forty-eight (48) hours after
notification of contract award. Offers will be received in this office,
prior to, but not later than 3:30 p.m. on September 5, 1996. Proposal
documents, plans and specifications will be available on August 6, 1996
at a cost of $105.00 per set (NON-REFUNDABLE) payable by check or money

ARCHITECTS. Since this is a request for proposals, offers will not be
publicly opened. The number of offers received, the identity of the
offerors, the amount of any one offer, or relative standing of offeror
will not be disclosed to anyone until after award of a contract is
made and the request is submitted in writing. Plans may be inspected at
the issuing office and any questions and/or information regarding this
