Z -- FIRM FIXED PRICE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT FOR REPAIR & ALTERATION AT STERLING POST OFFICE 150 SOUTH STERLING BLVD STERLING, VA 22170 Solicitation #102490-96-A-0021. Due 090396. The contract resulting from this solicitation will include selective demolition, asbestos abatement, new construction including masonry, carpentry, cabinetry, sheet rock, painting, aluminum store front, roofing, landscaping and paving. The project is to be performed in a building occupied by the US Postal Service and being operated as a customer service facility. The construction work must be phased to permit continued operation of the facility and protection of employees and the public. The contractor will be required to limit construction activities that conflict with Postal operations during peak mail distribution periods such as the Christmas Season (November 1 through December 25). Time to complete is 300 calendar days after date of Notice to Proceed. Offers are due by 2:00 pm on September 3, 1996.
