McDaniel, Contracting Officer The Navy requires 1500 each Center Tubes for the assembly of the M1134A3E1 Fuze.These tubes are a heavily-machined cast aluminum which support explosive components and othersubassemblies of the M1134A3E1 Fuze. This fuze is used to initiate a linear explosive chargedeployed by a rocket. The center tube shall be built in accordance with Crane Army AmmunitionActivity SMCCN ED drawing M1134A3E1 which will be provided with the Request for Quote.Approximate dimensions are 3-1/2'' diameter x 5'' length. Predominant material of manufacture isaluminum base alloy sand casting per ASTM 826. Specifications MIL-A-2550, MIL-STD-171,and ANSI T14.5 M apply. Delivery is required 90 days from date of Purchase Order. Thisacquisition will be processed utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures, and it is anticipated thata formal Request for Quotes will be issued. This procurement is exclusively reserved for SmallBusiness concerns (500 employees or less) per FAR 52.219-6. All responsible sources maysubmit a quote which will be considered by this agency.
