16 -- F/A-18C/D INTERMEDIATE AVIONICS TEST SET (IATS) SOL N00019-94-G-0006 POC Contact, Robert Minjack, Phone (703)604-6100 The Naval Air Systems Command intends to issue a firm fixed-price (FFP) delivery order under Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N00019-94-G-0006 with McDonnell Douglas Aerospace for engineering support to conduct retrofit of two (2) Intermediate Avionics Fault Tree Analyzers (IATFA) into the advanced configuration Intermediate Avionics Test Set (IATS). As sole designer, developer, manufacturer and supplier of the F/A-18 aircraft, MDA is the only firm which possesses the requisite knowledge of the aircraft's design and operation in order to provide support for this retrofit effort.Additionally, only MDA has the F/A-18 peculiar engineering data and expertise, facilities and test equipment to provide the Government's minimum needs in a timely manner.
