Pomraning, Contracting Officer The VA Maryland Health Care System, Baltimore Division, has a requirement which includes all labor, equipment, and material for complete mechanical installation and start-up of a Liebert Model No. DSO65A-CSU 3000 Chiller, 240 VAC, Dual Module, Air Cooled, Factory Assembled chiller unit for cooling of the Picker Gradient Tube and the space for a second chiller module is to remain empty. The unit must have a PB-332A remote condenser designed for installation. The cooling capacity must be 46,500 BTU/HR and the flow rate at 20 gal/min. The chiller outlet temp setting must be 64-66 degress F, the inlet temp setting must be 68.5-70.5 degrees F. The cooling medium must be distilled water with the inhibitor Mitco CW-2IL added at 1 GPM per 1,000 gallons. The pressure drop should equal 27 ft. at maximum load inlet pressure of 50 PSI; pump size must be 2 HP. The installation will include piping to the MRI and from the MRI equipment room to the 1B equipment room. This unit can be Liebert or an equivalent. A VA approved submittal of the equipment spec sheets will be required for the equivalent. Bid package will be available on or aobut August 15, 1996. No telephonic or fax requests will be honored.
