Purchase and installatin of five (5) each corrugated steel sunscreens. FOB Destination, MCLB, Ablany, GA. This acquisition is unrestricted; interested concerns shall furnish information on Small/Large business size status. SIC Code 3448, Employee #500. No solicitation package exists. Basic specifications are as follows: 20' W X 30'L x 16' 11'' (High side and 15' 3'' Low side single slope with both 20' ends closed and the low side 30'' closed) Roof panels - minimum of 26 gauge corrugated steel. Panels shall be designed with a minimum width of 20 inches and not to exceed 50 inches; each panel shall run the long axis of the sunscreen. Panels shall have a minimum overhang of 4 inches, not to exceed 12 inches. Purlings braces and support hardware shall be manufactured from a minimum of .06 to .13 inch steel. The vertical columns shall be manufactured from a minimum of .12 inch thick steel and constructed to a minimum of 6 inch square. A minimum of two (2) diagonal bracing between roof purlings and vertical columns are required. Bracing to be constructed of angle or channel steel, a minimum of .12 inch thick. Tie-down angles shall be affixed to each column. A 3/4 inch hole shall be drilled with a minimum of 3 inches from the surface to the center of the tie-down angle. Each tie-down shall be a minimum of .12 inch thick with a minimum of 12 inches affixed to the column. Bolts supplied for joining stress structural member and columns shall be high-strength bolts conforming to RSTM A 325. Screws shall be fabricated from a metal alloy, zinc coated and compatible with the structure. Each fastener shall have an integral combination washer consisting of a corrosion-inhibitive coated cupped washer and a synthetic, resilient washer for a minimum of 0-042 inch thick providing a water proof seal. Paint - painting shall consist of one (1) coat of rust prevention primer and a finish coat with a total dry film thickness of not less than 1.5 mil over the entire structural components. The paint shall be free from runs, sags, orange peel or other defects. a) roof panels: baked on white enamel one side, white wash on the other side. b) Nuts, bolts, washers and scews: Zinc plated sunscreen capacity capable of withstanding live loads and wind loads of 20 psf minimum. Pre-fabricated requirements: Each sunscreen shall include all pre-fabricated, and pre-drilled hardware components for a complete shield ready for assembly using common hand and power tools. Each sunscreen shall consists of four (4) vertical columns, purlings, side and end frames, bracing and corrugated roof panels. All components that require assembly shall be pre-drilled. The roof panels shall not be pre-drilled however all holes shall be accurately punched and shall have burrs removed. Packaging to be in accordance with standard commercial practice. MCLB, Albany, Ga will be responsible for having the concrete footings poured. All other work will be performed by successful contractor to include disposal of waste material, if any.
