70 -- IMAGING EQUIPMENT AND SOFTWARE DUE 083096 POC Patricia H. Drew Tel: 410-966-1325 SSA plans to negotiate, under an existing contract with Management Systems Designers (MSD) for purchase of the following: (1 ea.) Fujitsu M3096E+ Scanner, TWAIN compliant and able to accept originals up to 11.7'' by 17'', print up to 25 PPM, at 200 to 400 DPI; must be compatible with a Kofax compression\decompression software and board, must be able to place documents on flatbed and automatically feed documents; Kofax Compression\Decompression Board; Kofax Interface Cable; (1 ea.) Enterprise Imaging Software; (26 ea.) Oracle Developer 2000; Enterprise and Oracle Integration. In order to add additional users to the OSCAR imaging system, this specific software and hardware is required. The current turn-key document processing system required by SSA and delivered by MSD is a highly technical and specialized system requiring a high level of integration with all the components. Imaging technology in general requires special care and testing to ensure total integration and compatibility. The system includes hardware and software unique to imaging systems. Many of the development tools and software (i.e., Kofax, Oracle, Staffware and Enterprize) used in the OSCAR system have been developed further by MSD to achieve the current degree of integration. DynCorp in Fairfax, Virginia, developed and markets Enterprise for resale to system integrators, not end-users. Sales and licensing for the Enterprise for SSA must be done via purchase with MSD, the OSCAR integrator. Any firm wishing to respond may submit technical information sufficient enough to demonstrate their ability to install, integrate and maintain the required scanner and software which will be integrated with components already maintained under contract with MSD.
