The Naval Inventory Control Point will be soliciting proposal(s) for a commercialized type of weapons system support for the AN/USM-636 Consolidated Automated Support Ststem (CASS). Proposals should be modeled after a current established method of support known as Direct Vendor Delivery (DVD), but modified to incorporate the unique military aspects of this system. The scope of the effort includes, at a minimum, the following types of effort: 1) Repair or replacement of all components (repairables and consumables); 2) Achievement of Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) goals whiich allow for technology insertion and growth in reliability throughout the contract term; and 3)Storage and immediate issuance of all government owned inventories of the system to meet availability goals. The resultant contract shall be a requirements contract consisting of a 2 year base with 3 one year options. Due to the unavailability or proprietary nature of technical data, only Lockheed Martin Information Systems, the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), will be solicited., See Note 22 (0220)
