WL/MNK intends to amend contract F08630-96-C-0002 to include a special task for the research of Material Response to Extremely Short Electromagnetic Pulses (MRESEP). Concrete, sand, clay, and granite media samples will be radiated with femotosecond pulses to measure one-way and two-way wave propagation time, amplitude and phase. The MRESEP requires a pulse generator and receiver capable of transmitting and detecting femtosecond pulses to establish a database to support media discrimination algorithm development. All work associated with this task shall be performed at the contractor's facility. SEE Note 22.
